AVON — Board of Selectmen approves fiscal year 2023 water rate increase and historic auto dealer license. DPW Director William A. Fitzgerald's tiered rate structure increases base charges to $100 and raises usage rates 14 percent across all tiers; most residential customers occupy Tiers 1 and 2, with rates designed to reduce taxpayer subsidy and meet state cost-recovery requirements.
Benjamin Pinkawitz received unanimous approval for the first Class II License for Roger Gordon Adjusters d/b/a B&C Motors in many years, permitting online auto sales with no vehicles stored on premises. The Board also unanimously approved a net metering credit purchase agreement with the Town of Abington for $200,000 in credits at a cost of $160,000.
