Board of Health approves three septic system upgrades

DocumentCenter · Meeting of June 10, 2021

AVON — Board of Health approves three septic system variances. Chairman Robert Ogilvie led the Board in unanimously approving Title 5 local upgrade requests for 116 Pond Street, 27 Butler Avenue, and 93 Memorial Drive, allowing reductions in state-mandated vertical separation and setback distances for failed septic system replacements. All approvals include deed restrictions limiting properties to their current bedroom counts and prohibiting garbage grinders.

COVID-19 case counts remained low with fewer than five cases in the prior two weeks and a positive rate of 1.94 percent, with vaccination reaching 59 percent for at least one dose and 49 percent fully vaccinated.
