Board of Health approves local upgrades for three septic projects

DocumentCenter · Meeting of May 13, 2021

AVON — Board of Health approved local upgrades for three septic system replacement projects. Robert Ogilvie was elected chairman and Ralph Jensen continued as clerk in the board's reorganization. The upgrades at 25 Maguire Avenue, 92 Page Street, and 12 North Main Street allow property owners to proceed with septic repairs using reduced setbacks and separations from state standards, with one property requiring an owner agreement covering neighboring property coordination.

Two warrants totaling $52,794.51 were approved for FY2021 and COVID-19 expenses; the trash contract with Waste Management and Covanta and bulk collection policy were tabled for further review at the May 27 meeting.
