Board of Health approves five septic replacements, admonishes tobacco seller

Avon Board of Health admonishes tobacco retailer on fourth violation, approves five septic upgrades. Health Agent Kathleen Waldron reported that an inspection on November 28, 2022 found flavored nicotine pouches at Al Market in violation of state code 105 CMR 665.000. Though Waldron recommended a 60-day suspension and $10,000 fine, Chairman Ralph Jensen moved to admonish owner B.H.

Patel instead, with explicit warning of permanent permit revocation if violations recur. The motion, seconded by member Peter Marinelli, passed unanimously. The board also unanimously approved five Title 5 Local Upgrade Requests for septic system replacements at four locations with various technical waivers.
