Avon Public Library Board of Trustees approves behavioral policy amendment and confirms programming expansion. Library Director Elise LaForge reported October programs drew strong attendance, including 23 people at an after-hours "Ghosts of the Southcoast" event and 18 at pumpkin painting, with an adult craft program resulting in three new or renewed library cards. The Board approved a policy amendment addressing unattended personal property, surplus of a round white table, and closure on Saturday, January 31.
Building maintenance work continues with DPW coordination on basement door and alarm system repairs, while ongoing projects include drainage improvements, heating service contracts, and window repairs.
