Avon Park and Recreation approves playground safety rules and online events

Avon Park and Recreation Commission unanimously approves playground safety updates and fall programming. The commission unanimously approved adoption of new playground safety guidelines including liability and police notice language and unanimously authorized Program Director Jennifer Mayo to conduct three online fall events totaling $750 in FY21 expenses. Hand sanitizer stations will be installed at all three playgrounds by the Department of Public Works.

The board also unanimously approved $1,845 in spending to Finely Done for new blinds at the Civic Center.
