DocumentCenter · Meeting of November 16, 2021

Avon Public Library trustees eliminate overdue fines, joining surrounding libraries in the movement to fine-free borrowing. Library Director Elise LaForge reported that offer letters have been sent for two part-time circulation assistant positions and that a Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners waiver has been submitted. Budget meetings were scheduled to begin the next day, with LaForge planning to propose staffing and program ideas for the 2023 budget.

The board also agreed to evaluate weeding-book reuse programs through Better World Books and the Ghana Project.
