Board of Health approves septic system variance for East High Street

DocumentCenter · Meeting of November 4, 2021

Avon Board of Health approves septic system variance for East High Street property. Chairman Robert Ogilvie and Member Peter Marinelli voted unanimously to authorize three local upgrades to septic design standards for 126 East High Street, reducing minimum vertical groundwater separation from five feet to four feet and from twelve inches to three inches, while permitting laboratory soil testing results to replace on-site percolation testing due to saturated soil conditions. The plan requires monolithic tank and pump chamber construction with protective boots on inlets and outlets within twelve inches of groundwater.

Soils will be confirmed at the open hole.
