Avon Designer Committee approves construction contract changes, advances police station project

Avon Designer Committee advances police and fire station project with contract approvals. The committee unanimously approved approximately $492,000 in project invoices and contract modifications including a $6,000 change order for foundation soil compaction and a $1,150 invoice for prior electrical work. Members also selected gray-tone siding color for the new Apparatus Building and approved an $850 credit for an uninstalled project sign.
Overall construction remains on schedule or slightly ahead, with minor delays on the Apparatus Building deemed non-critical.
