Avon Cultural Council awards grants to 20 organizations

Avon Cultural Council approves $11,346 in annual grants. The council, with four members present, approved 20 applications from 30 submitted, awarding funds to cultural and educational organizations including the Brockton Symphony Orchestra ($500), the New England Aquarium ($756), and Boston Museum of Science ($1,300 total). The Avon Council on Aging received two grants totaling $1,300.
Seven applications were denied.
