Selectmen approve 1.42 percent factor for FY2023 taxes

Avon Selectmen approve 1.42 percent factor, grant small commercial exemptions for FY2023. Following presentations by Associate Regional Assessor David Golden and Town Administrator Gregory S. Enos, the Board unanimously approved a 1.42 percent residential factor for tax rates, reducing the average residential tax bill and commercial and industrial rates by $2.19 and $2.94 respectively.

The Board also unanimously granted a Small Commercial Exemption with 18 companies applying for a combined $513,028 in exemption value, as the FY2023 total taxable value reached $1,139,214,254.
