Selectboard redirects $141K in budget funds, approves staff changes

Avon Selectboard approves $141K in budget transfers and personnel moves. The board transferred $97,755 from insurance to cover a snow and ice deficit and $40,000 to address building maintenance including septic tank replacement and heating repairs, with a $3,378 transfer covering regional public health staffing costs. The board approved step increases for Accounting Clerk Claire Walsh, Council on Aging van driver Meghan Mallett, and Library Shelver Donna Stanton, and hired Catherine Emery as Volunteer and Activities Coordinator at the Council on Aging.

The board authorized street permits for Eversource Gas utility work at ten town locations and appointed Council on Aging Director Jane Carthas to the Old Colony Elder Services board.
