DocumentCenter · Meeting of November 4, 2020
AVON — The Avon School Committee discussed a $270,000 heating control system project at the Middle-High School. Finance Officer Kathleen McDonald presented a proposal that would cost the district a net $106,000 after utility company incentives from National Grid and Eversource, generating estimated monthly savings of $974; the first phase must be completed before year-end. The committee also heard that a Butler School community member tested positive for COVID-19, with all affected families notified and the district coordinating with Health Agent Kathleen Waldren on safety protocols.
McDonald reported the cafeteria revolving account faced pandemic-related shortfalls due to expanded free lunch programs and recommended operating budget support.
