School Committee approves bank donation, removes Insurance Subcommittee

Avon School Committee accepts $1,130 Abington Bank donation, removes Insurance Subcommittee from standing committees. The committee voted unanimously to approve the donation and eliminate the subcommittee. Superintendent Christine Godino reviewed the District Improvement Plan, while principals Sarah Shaw of Butler Elementary and Dawn Stockwell of Avon High School presented MCAS reviews and school updates.
The committee unanimously appointed Chair Tracy Sheehan and Member Paul Chapman as delegate and alternative to the Massachusetts Association of School Committees/Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Conference.
