Avon Park and Recreation postpones summer programs. The commission voted unanimously to delay the 2020 summer program and Family Movie Night, originally scheduled for July 25, until further notice. Chairperson Carl Fischer and Vice Chairperson Dan Hart led the five-member commission, which also approved $225 for "No dogs allowed" signs at local fields, authorized $4,000 for Civic Center furniture, $3,000 for sports and craft equipment, and ordered four picnic tables for playgrounds.
