Park and Recreation Commission approves two space-use requests

AVON — Park and Recreation Commission approves Civic Center use for Sew Sisters sewing group. The five-member Avon board voted unanimously to allow the Sew Sisters to meet year-round on Wednesday evenings and the first Friday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Civic Center, with Commissioner Marci Kovick moving approval and all five members supporting the motion. The commission also unanimously approved renting a handicapped accessible porta potty at Butler School for the soccer season.

The board tabled the Miller Tracy mural and playground project, tennis courts, field fees, and a department head meeting for future consideration.
