Library Trustees approve maintenance contract, prepare for June reopening

Avon Library Trustees approve maintenance contract, cut budget 10 percent amid pandemic. Director Ann Fogg and Trustees Chuck Comeau, Paul Chute, and Julie Murray unanimously approved a three-year Stanley Access Technologies contract at $491.38 annually for automated door maintenance at their May 12 remote meeting, effective June 1. The library is furloughing four part-time employees effective May 18.

According to the Town Administrator, the library will not open until at least June.
