Housing Authority approves August statements, reviews ongoing property projects

Avon Housing Authority approves August financials and year-end certifications unanimously. The board unanimously approved June 2022 operating and balance statements, vouchers through August 9, and Fiscal Year End 2022 Forms and Certifications. Executive Director Sherry Guilbault reported nine current vacancies with two new transfer leases and detailed updates on multiple property improvements including window replacement, attic insulation work to be re-bid, landscaping, gutter repair, dryer replacement, and ARPA-funded intercom system.

The board is also updating its Grievance Policy and four additional policies required by DHCD: Language Access Plan, Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, Affirmative Action Plan, and Fair Housing Marketing Plan.
