DocumentCenter · Meeting of April 4, 2022

AVON — Finance Committee recommends 29 articles for May town meeting with largest item a $575,000 DeMarco Park renovation. Chaired by Daniel Norian and meeting via Zoom on April 4, the committee voted to advance capital projects totaling nearly $1.3 million in free cash transfers, including $212,500 for water operations, $185,000 for Department of Public Works vehicles and equipment, $120,000 for fire rescue equipment, and $70,000 for school renovations. The committee unanimously withheld recommendation on Article 26, a three-year firefighter collective bargaining agreement, pending discussion at town meeting.

Judith Leggett voted against the DeMarco Park project, citing concerns about inadequate planning for parking and trail improvements.
