Council on Aging appoints Johnson, Puckett as co-chairs

DocumentCenter · Meeting of May 7, 2021

Avon Council on Aging restructures leadership. The board appointed Karen Johnson and Nancy Puckett as co-chairs, with Linda Chute as Secretary and Jean Kopke as Treasurer during the May 7 meeting. Director Christine Quinn reported board concern over the Happiness Program cost, quoted at $500 for a Zoom presentation scheduled June 9, up from a previously quoted price of $250, which members questioned for an online program.

Grab-and-go lunches continue to draw 10 to 12 participants weekly on Thursdays, and the board is pursuing a partnership with the Avon Public Library on a July 1 therapy dog program.
