By-Law Committee develops livestock regulations, finalizes dog bylaws

Avon By-Law Committee moves forward with livestock regulations and dog bylaw revisions. Chair Malik Sabree opened the February 13 meeting with Clerk Patricia Bessette and Board of Health Agent Kathleen Washburn present. The committee finalized dog bylaws, with Bessette to incorporate edits for committee review.
For new business, the committee drafted a livestock section based on Holbrook's proposed bylaw, specifying regulated animals, setback requirements, and Board of Health permit procedures. The committee will seek input from Animal Control Officer Aaron Movsessian on the Animals at Large provisions and from the Building Commissioner on zoning sections.
