DocumentCenter · Meeting of October 13, 2022

AVON — Board of Health suspends A-1 Market tobacco permit for 30 days over hidden products. A health inspection on October 5 found flavored vape and JUUL devices hidden in multiple store locations, marking the second and third violations in less than 12 months. The Board voted unanimously to suspend the permit for seven days and impose $2,000 fine for the second violation, then 23 consecutive days and $5,000 for the third.

The combined suspension runs October 19 through November 17. All tobacco products must be removed during suspension. The Board also unanimously approved a Title 5 septic system upgrade at 6 Feeley Avenue with reduced vertical separation standards.
