DocumentCenter · Meeting of February 11, 2021
Avon Board of Health approves septic system upgrades on a challenging site. Engineer Peter Lyons, representing Collins Civil Engineering Group, presented a plan to replace the existing septic system at 44 Robbins Street, a nine-room house in an area with a high groundwater table. The board unanimously approved two local variances to state sanitary code requirements, including a reduction from four feet to three feet in the minimum vertical separation between groundwater and soil absorption system.
Health Agent Kathleen M. Waldron reported the town vaccinated approximately 70 residents ages 75 and older at a recent COVID-19 clinic.
