Board approves temporary in-law apartment for Page Street home

Avon Zoning Board approves in-law apartment permit for Page Street. The board unanimously granted a Special Permit to Adriano Gomes and Emanuela Barbosa allowing their existing 728-square-foot garage apartment to house Maria Barbosa, Emanuela Barbosa's mother, who will help care for their three children. The apartment comes in below the 775-square-foot maximum set by bylaw.
Board of Health approval was contingent on bedroom count not exceeding five. The Special Permit will become void if Maria Barbosa vacates the residence.
