Avon Park and Recreation holds remote meeting on field maintenance and summer program
DocumentCenter · Meeting of May 20, 2020
Avon Park and Recreation Commission defers summer program planning pending state guidance. The five-member board met remotely with Chairperson Carl Fischer, Commissioners Ben Chapman, Barbara Littlefield, and Steve McCarthy, and Program Director Jennifer Mayo. Board of Health representative Kathleen Waldron discussed summer program ideas with the commission but the board decided to wait for state and Governor guidelines before finalizing plans.
Program Director Mayo will prepare a proposal for the June 10 meeting. In other business, the commission tabled review of January 28 minutes and Mills Playground Structure discussion, and is proceeding with facility maintenance at Butler Field and the Fagan Drive Shed.
