Avon Housing Authority approves holiday pay and capital updates. At its December 14 meeting, the board unanimously approved the day after Thanksgiving as a compensated holiday for benefit-eligible employees. Chairman M.
Janet Jensen led the board, which included Vice Chairman Kevin Edwards, Treasurer Judy Laniewski, and Member Gary Qualter. Executive Director Sherry Guilbault reported 11 current vacancies and briefed the board on capital projects including the Attic Insulation and Ventilation Upgrades rebid under Project 018049 and the Window Project expansion to include Phase I and Phase II. The authority also approved a new stackable dryer and noted that a food pantry has begun operating in the Community Room.
