Selectmen approve water system security contract, election preparations

AVON — Selectmen approve water system security grant and election procedures. The Board unanimously authorized an Asset Management Grant agreement with Kleinfelder Northeast Inc. for water system cybersecurity protection, with costs to be reimbursed by the state. The Board approved election workers for Fiscal Year 2023 and authorized early voting hours of 30 minutes after Town Hall opens through 30 minutes before closing per state election law.

The Board designated one police officer to staff the sole polling location at Town Hall for the September 6 State Primary and November election.
