Conservation Commission approves Langley Road sound barrier conditions

AVON — Conservation Commission approves sound barrier permit after resident concerns. The Avon Conservation Commission voted 3-0 to approve an Order of Conditions for a sound barrier project at 0 Langley Road proposed by applicant William Leonard, with Chairman Kevin Mooney abstaining. Four nearby residents raised concerns about construction impacts to wetlands and water quality, documented in written comments and oral statements at the meeting.
The Commission imposed conditions requiring invasive plant removal, a 60-day advance planting plan, construction phase documentation, and mitigation for 1,483 square feet of buffer disturbance. The Commission also unanimously approved a 2022 meeting schedule and tabled a three-family home project at 68 East Main Street to February 10.
