Avon Board of Health approves septic system improvements at three town properties. At 26 Crane Street and 155 Bodwell Street, the board unanimously approved replacement and upgrade plans for failing septic systems. Board members also reorganized their leadership, reelecting Gerald Picardi as Chairman and electing Ralph Jensen as Clerk.
At 264 Bodwell Street, a commercial facility serving 150 employees, the board accepted a Massachusetts DEP-approved surface-modification plan that avoids replacing an advanced pressure-distribution field experiencing effluent backup.
